Shawn Klerer
Shawn Klerer is a Principal of Eaton Square based in Toronto and is focused on M&A and debt and equity raisings.
Shawn is an accomplished business leader having led large-scale businesses to transformational market leading positions. Shawn has over 30-years of experience in strategic planning, finance, marketing, operations management, sales management, and leadership development, having held various executive level positions at a number of disparate companies in a multitude of industries.
Shawn’s experience spans numerous industries including: telecom, financial services, travel, logistics, marketing services, roll-ups, and education. He was the Chief Financial Officer for American Express in Canada and for Purolator Courier Inc., Canada’s largest logistics company. He also led the Business Travel division for Amex in Canada.
Most recently, Shawn channeled his more entrepreneurial spirit and successfully tackled turnaround and exit strategy situations as CFO, COO, and CEO for both a Private Equity portfolio company and for a publicly traded TSX-Venture company, completing M&A transactions and raising capital while developing and implementing significant restructuring plans.
Shawn holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and is a CPA (CMA).
