Rui Wang
Rui Wang is a Principal of Eaton Square working in China and UK markets. Rui is mainly based in Beijing China and spends considerable of his time in London UK. His expertise and advisory are focused on M&A, business expansion strategy and cross-border matchmaking, business integration and operation, particularly in sectors of emerging technology, life sciences and healthcare, advanced manufacturing and agribusiness and foods.
Prior to joining Eaton Square, Rui worked for Invest Northern Ireland as Investment Director, the Head of China FDI, responsible for promoting UK Northern Ireland investment opportunities in China; matchmaking business financial needs and investors; advising Chinese companies going global on green-field projects or equity investments and helping companies from Northern Ireland to enter into Chinese market.
Before Invest Northern Ireland, Rui had more than 20 years of international business experiences. Rui worked for ABF PLC (UK), ConAgra Foods INC (USA), Genus PLC (UK) and had fulfilled various roles of M&A, business strategy and operations, marketing and sales, JV integration and compliances.
Rui has accomplished some major M&A and capital raising projects in China and UK. He has successfully completed projects to advise on financing spin-off businesses from R&D cooperation. He is established as a specialist and senior advisor in Chinese and UK markets. Rui has been invited by China British Business Council (CBBC), China Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA) of MOFCOM, CCCME, CMIF etc. to speak at International conferences.
Rui is an UK Chartered Engineer (CEng MIChemE). He obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University, UK, in 1992.
